In Times Like These…
Was it only a month ago that we were all looking forward to camping season? We started looking at upgrading rigs or putting the final touches on our first RV purchase and then out of nowhere our plans took a detour. We have been re-routed. Some of us have been uprooted and even some of us feel, for the first time, homeless.
Our country hasn’t processed something like this before. We are on a war footing with an unseen enemy. The peace that the RV community enjoys has been turned on its head by state and national park closures, Corp of Engineer campground closures and the unknown. Plans change and we must adapt and overcome. So, at this time let’s pull together and do what each of us can do best.
For Miles From Monday RV Inspections that means we are staying prepared and ready. We are prepared to help our fellow RV owners with routine maintenance. Even though we didn’t ask for the downtime, this is the perfect opportunity to get your rig camping ready, top to bottom and inside and out. Many RV repair shops and dealers may be closed or have a severe shortage of repair techs during this time and obviously that means longer than normal wait time for repairs. When we get the “all clear” which WILL happen, the backlog will be significant. As an RV Tech we can add our expertise with repair work to stand in the gap during this unprecedented time.
While several of the manufacturers’ have suspended production operation for a short time, there are still savvy shoppers out there ready to get a great deal on a new or used RV. So now could be the very best time to sell your existing rig and upgrade, or pull the trigger on your first purchase.
All in all, these times can really bring out the best in us. The RVing community shows that spirit every day!
Be kind, pay it forward and it will all come back to you.
